Locations
Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic skin condition that can make your skin feel dry, itchy, and sore. It can come and go, showing up as red, irritated patches that may make daily life uncomfortable and have an impact on sleep, physical comfort and self-confidence.
Flare ups of symptoms can be caused by a wide range of triggers including changes in temperature, allergens in the environment or food, stress, certain clothing or fabrics and hormonal changes. With eczema, your skin’s protective layer is a bit weaker, which makes it more susceptible to irritants.
Current treatments include topical creams and corticosteroids, but these options don’t always provide lasting relief creating a need for a more effective medication.
This study is exploring whether a new investigational medication could help people living with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) by blocking the immune signals involved in itch and inflammation associated with atopic dermatitis.
The study compares the investigational medication with a placebo to better understand its safety and effects.
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational medication or a placebo (inactive substance) through three IV infusions over the span of 4 weeks.
You will visit the clinic regularly for health assessments, including skin evaluations, physical examinations, and general checkups. Your safety and well-being will be closely monitored by a professional clinical team.
