Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic skin condition that causes dry, inflamed, and itchy skin. It often appears as red or irritated patches that can come and go over time, making everyday life uncomfortable and affecting sleep, physical comfort, and confidence.
Flare-ups can be triggered by many things - changes in weather, allergens, stress, certain fabrics, foods, or hormonal shifts. People with eczema tend to have a weakened skin barrier, which means their skin is more sensitive to these types of irritants.
While treatments like steroid creams or other topical therapies are commonly used, they don’t always provide long-lasting relief. That’s why researchers are working to find more effective options that go beyond managing symptoms to help improve long-term skin health and quality of life.
This study is testing a potential new treatment, designed to target key drivers of inflammation in eczema.
Researcher’s hope this treatment may:
• Reduce the severity and frequency of flare-ups
• Relieve itching and skin irritation
• Improve overall skin health and quality of life
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either:
• The investigational treatment, or
• A placebo
All study medication is taken as two oral tablets twice daily, once at morning, once at night. This is a placebo-controlled study so some participants will receive a non-active investigational medicine and some participants will receive the active investigational medicine.
You will attend regular study visits for health assessments, skin examinations and safety monitoring. Your safety and well-being will be closely monitored by our professional clinical team.
