What to expect
Ages
18 years +
Duration
An average of approximately 4 and a half years.
Compensation
Participants will be reimbursed for any reasonable travel, parking, meals, and other expenses associated with study visits.
Eligibility Criteria
You may be eligible to take part if you:
Are aged 18 and above.
Are currently on cholesterol medication to control your cholesterol.
AND Have experienced cardiovascular events such as heart attacks, strokes, blocked artery procedures.
OR Have experienced amputations due to blocked arteries.
OR are aged 50+ and considered a high risk for major cardiovascular events because you have multiple artery blockages.
OR are aged 60+ with diabetes mellitus or high blood pressure.
It's important to continue your current cholesterol regimen during the study, and the duration of participation varies based on your enrollment date, with an average of approximately 4 and a half years.
There are certain additional criteria that must be met to be eligible to take part.
Locations
Do you have high cholesterol? Momentum Clinical Research is seeking volunteers for a clinical research study on cholesterol management. This study tests an investigational medication and its effects on cholesterol and cardiovascular events.
The study tests an investigational medication's effects on cholesterol levels compared to a placebo, which resembles the medication but lacks active ingredients. The study also investigates how well participants tolerate the investigational medication and its potential impact on cardiovascular events.
You may be eligible to participate if you are aged 18+, and currently on cholesterol medication to control cholesterol, have a history of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks, strokes, blocked artery procedures, or amputations due to blocked arteries. Or Aged 50+ and considered high risk for major cardiovascular events because of multiple artery blockages, or aged 60+ with diabetes mellitus or high blood pressure.
