Duration
The study duration is up to 12 weeks, with regular follow-up days. For Part A of the study, this includes a screening period of up to 28 days, one inpatient clinic stay, and several outpatient follow-up visits.
Compensation
Participants will be paid for time and study-related costs.
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify for this study if you:
- Are aged 18 to 75 years old
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis for at least 6 months
- Have tried at least 2 standard prescription arthritis medications (such as methotrexate or leflunomide) that did not provide sufficient relief
- Experience active pain, swelling, and tenderness in your joints
- Are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a long-term condition where the bodies immune system accidentally attacks healthy joints, causing persistent inflammation, swelling, and pain.
Frequent joint flare-ups can severely restrict daily movement, diminish strength, disrupt work capabilities, and impact overall well-being. While standard medications exist, many individuals do not respond fully to current options and experience continuous symptoms, presenting a significant need for new approaches.
This first-in-human study is evaluating the safety, tolerability, and dosing of an investigational study treatment, given as an injection under the skin. The treatment is designed to temporarily lower a specific type of overactive immune cell that drives joint damage and swelling. The main goal is to understand how the treatment acts in the body and evaluate its ability to reduce joint inflammation and support long-term relief.
What to expect
- Participants will receive the investigational treatment as a small injection under the skin. Depending on when you enrol, you will receive either a single injection or two separate split injections administered one week apart.
- A short, comfortable stay at our clinic facility during treatment weeks (ranging from 3 to 5 nights) so our specialised medical staff can monitor your well-being closely.
- Following discharge, you will return for regular outpatient visits to check your progress.
- Your privacy is highly important. All personal information will be kept strictly confidential.
All study-related medical assessments, tests and procedures are provided at no cost. Participants will be compensated for time and study-related costs.
