Dr Andrew Edwards

Dr. Edwards is a clinical researcher at Momentum Clinical Research Kapiti and Palmerston North sites, as well as a part time GP in Kapiti. He joined P3 Research in 2021 after 21 years working as a full-time GP with a special  interest in Travel Medicine. 

Dr. Edwards gained his medical degree from Cambridge University and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. He completed a range of hospital jobs over 5 years before undertaking GP training in the UK.  He spent 4 years working in primary health care in Nepal before emigrating to New Zealand in 2000.  

Dr. Edwards has acted as Principal Investigator/Sub Investigator  in  about 30 clinical trials covering respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, dermatology, osteoarthritis, obesity, coeliac and vaccine studies. 

Outside of clinical work over he enjoys tramping, biking and reading. He is married to Helen, has 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter.
