Dr. Archer is a clinical researcher at Momentum Clinical Research Lower Hutt, bringing over 30 years of clinical experience to the role. With a background in Primary Care, Dr Archer discovered the world of clinical trials in 2023. She is enjoying her new role and is dedicated to advancing clinical research and improving patient outcomes.
Dr. Archer earned her medical degree from Otago University, New Zealand in 1993. She has completed specialist training in Primary Care, and holds certifications in Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Family Planning. Over the years, Dr. Archer has become particularly passionate about women’s health, general medicine (including cardiology and gastroenterology) and dermatology, finding fulfillment in both clinical practice and advancing research.
Dr. Archer has successfully worked as a Principal Investigator (PI) and Sub-Investigator (SI) on several studies. These studies span various therapeutic areas, including vaccine trials, HPV, cardiovascular outcomes, dermatology, and coeliac disease, contributing to significant advancements in clinical research.
Prior to joining Momentum Lower Hutt, Dr. Archer worked as a local General Practitioner for over 20 years, where she gained extensive experience in women’s health, and general medicine, and diabetes.
Outside of clinical work, Dr Archer enjoys walking her friendly black labrador, singing in a local acapella group, reading and spending valuable time with family.
